Pettersson would be the 4th best LHD on the Sabres. I doubt they would be willing to pay for that and take on that contract.

TBH, you would be better off keeping Blueger and Pettersson.
Pettersson is >>> Rutta and you have Jan plying on his off hand, not a good move when a defenseman forced to trying to back hand the puck out of the defensive zone.
While Bennett would offer more offense (maybe) the Blueger, but Blueger is a solid 4th line center.

Let me add, Blueger would make a nice Riga Latvia connection with Girgensons.
I would gladly give up a fourth for him as a Sabre fan.
