No idea on value here probably would be a conditional 1st, and I can’t actually see this happening but it’s fun to imagine.

A 1st for a 33 year old LW on an expiring contract? Yeah that sounds like the last thing the Wild should be doing.

Conditional on what? There's no condition where this makes sense.

It’s a 2nd unless the wild make the Finals. So more than likely it’s a 2nd round pick

Yeah, still doesn't make sense to trade a 2nd for a 33 year old LW on an expiring contract. We're not a real contender for anything.

If we want to have any sort of chance need to add some size (and somebody that will actually use that size). Wild got bullied by Vegas, this does that while also adding a good penalty killer. At the cost of a 2nd round pick that probably will have no impact on our team for the next 4 years. Again said this will probably never happen but you can’t say it doesn’t help our team right now.

Yeah and you can't properly justify paying a 2nd to help this team right now. If this team pays a 2nd at the deadline for a rental, Guerin should be fired. There's no reason we should be buyers.

We will see by the end of March what we should be doing at the deadline, but ATM we are a playoff team and would see Vegas in round 1. Need more size to compete with Vegas in a 7 gamer. Do you suggest we do nothing and get our heads pounded in ala Fiala and have another first round exit?

Yes, correct, I suggest we do nothing. Beating up on LA, SJ, and Anaheim for a month and a half has put the delusion in some Wild fans heads that this team can actually compete for a Cup. All three of those teams were bottom 5 in the entire league last season and projected to be about the same this season. Just because we're sitting in a playoff spot doesn't mean we're contenders, and doesn't mean we should be spending quality assets at the deadline to try to make a run.

If you want "toughness", tell Foligno and Greenway to stop acting like they're skill players, and tell them to start doing the job they're paid for.

Foligno does his job well for this team. Greenway is never going to use his size effectively (Coyle 2.0 basically). If this is a 3rd round pick does that in anyway change your mind? This team needs something, I don’t think a pick in the 50’s is that crazy of a price to pay. For a solid 3rd liner, good Penalty Killer and a good locker room guy on an expiring deal.
