I like Sutter as a coach. He's always been a defense minded coach and with all the offensive minded teams in the North Division, they won't know what to do against a good defensive teams. I think the Flames will rise in the standings if the whole team buys in to the system.

Absolutely fantastic human being. A very impressive person but so old school in his coaching philosophy. Players will have no choice but to buy in, but at least half of them will not like him as a coach. He can be brutal on players. But away from the rink, he is very kind and thoughtful.

Backlund is expecting his second child this month, it was said he was gone for family reasons, but skated early before the practice so possibly something related to that?
