I get that it's been nice to see him figure things out in Edmonton, but let's not pretend like he's become some untouchable piece or anything. He hasn't been that good

As an Oilers fan his value has definitely gone up since this offseason but he still has some work to do. Still aha a high ceiling. He's only 22, big, complementary top 6F for sure. But he probably wouldn't be the main piece in a Gibson trade.

Edmonton probably isn't trading him for a 2nd, but I don't think anyone is offering a 1st for him.

I know Gibson has had some middling numbers the last two seasons, but I think he's still a very good and very valuable goalie. Puljujarvi is probably the 3rd bigdest piece in a hypothetical John Gibson trade.
