Description

Nashville trade breaks down at Tatar kulak for cap purposes. 1st 3rd Norlinder for Ekholm and 1st 2nd Poehling and Hillis for Forsberg
Since Tatar is becoming a UFA made since to included him as the main cap hit coming because theres no long term commitment from Nashville and if they wanted they could flip him.

Byron moved with Fluery instead of habs needing to give up another high pick.
Quarantine probably kills any chance of this of course, in order to make sense would need to happen soon to get through the two week period so theres time to get everything together. Since both players coming to the habs have another year they should be more inclined to take the risk. i would think they would be room on the habs side to add to this deal if needed. And if nashville is stuck asking for one of our top your guys suzuki, kk , or romanov then we leave that and go after a much cheaper hall.

This trade makes sense for Montreal if they are a top team but they are in the last playoff spot. Why go all in now?

you should get a center too just saying if your going all in you super young centers prolly wouldnt get you far but u have a soild team

Both Forsberg and Ekholm have another year on their contracts.

Good point didnt realize. Might make sense Habs might be elite if suzuki and kotkaniemi take a step next year
