Description
sanderson probably stays at UND but this is just what i want to see.

I think they could ideally offload nick paul while they retain his salary and get a good return instead of him playing on our 4th line but thats about it.'

also draft one of the top centres or brandt clarke in 2021

I don't think Wolly will be back, and there's no way JBD is on the top pair right away. I also would leave Jake in Grand Forks another year. He's still got another Offensive gear to find, and he wouldn't be able to do that as well on the bottom pair.

Also unless Ottawa gets a huge offer, I would expect Dzingel to be back on a short term deal. He's fit in so well since coming back, and he genuinely seems excited to be here. He's the kind of Vet they wanted Stepan to be. Dzingel being in Ottawa just feels right.

I'd also keep Paul for sure. He's been solid in the middle six, but he'smore of a bottom six guy, and he can be an X factor on a really strong 4th line. He's going to see an expanded PK role next year if Tierney is moved, and he won't likely cost a ridiculous amount to extend. He's a guy you want to have around when the team is entering into being a contender.

If you have the cap space why not give Brady Tkachuk a long term deal?

      Thats low on Tierney.

I like Bishop as well, would be happy to see him get a bit of a longer look.

If I can get Brady to sign 8x8, I am doing it. Cap will be going up in a couple years pretty big with new TV deals. I also think it indicates to the guys who are coming up after him that this is a long term build. Batherson, Stutzle, Branny 2021 1OA, etc will all see an example set by Chabot and then immediately by Tkachuk.

I agree, JBD should be in the pros next year, but I would also leave Sanderson to run the UND blueline one more season.
