Per Pierre Lebrun: Devils and Palmieri are not close to an extension and it is more likely he gets traded.

Per Dan Rosen The Price for top rentals like Hall and Palmieri could be a high draft pick AND top prospect.

I think if Palmieri gets traded, it won't be for a first AND a prospect like Rosen was saying but a first OR solid prospect should do it. Especially since the asking prices of other plays like Rakell, Forsberg, or Hall would be too high. It's going to be sad to see Palmieri go but these are the teams I want him to go.

1. Isles: Good chance he waives and he has a shot at the cup. Plus Lou loves overpaying for Devils players
2. Penguins: If he plays with Crosby or Malkin, that would really help him
3: Bruins: I would hate playing against the Bruins.
4: Leafs: I want him to make it past the first round

I think Hall still has "MVP" value despite his poor play. I think he should be worth a late first

A little unrelated, but you do see Zajac moving at the deadline? I know he’s a Devils lifer but he’s having a really nice year for a guy of his age and his contract expires this offseason. To me, seems like he could be a good pick-up for someone’s 3rd line

Yes and No. Its complicated because Zajac is having a great year. Underrated offensively and very good defensively. The only problem is his NTC. It doesn't seem like he wants to waive but I hope he does and he gets a chance to get a Stanley Cup.
