I can't wait to see what some of the Wing's prospects can do. I understand giving prospects lower mins to adapt to nhl pace but an issue with this lineup IMO is that the 4th line has too much talent to be a 4th line.

So I have hopes that berggren sees the nhl next season but id be surprised if raymond did. Unless he wows in camp and just makes it impossible for them to do anything else with him. They need a 2nd line center and there are a few vets they can overpay short term that can help this team alot.

As posted the Wings are about 800k below the cap floor.

I don't hate it and I like where your head is at but a couple points:
    1. I think Raymond, Veleno and Berggren will all see NHL time next season but not to start the year. They all will and should start in the AHL.
    2. I'd go Krejci over Bjugstad if you can get him. Deadline asset will be better and on-ice performance will be better while keeping that center spot warm.
    3. No reason to buy out Nielsen since you're below the cap as is. Just make the the permanent 13th forward or send him to the AHL.
    4. Chase Pearson could very well make the team next season as 4c.

With those moves above you get a lineup of:
    Bertuzzi-Larkin-Mantha
    Zadina-Krejci-Fabbri
    Svechnikov-Rasmussen-Hirose/Brome
    Player X-Pearson-Smith

Pretty much just as young, but I think the players slot into their roles and styles a little bit better. If Raymond/Berggren/Veleno are destroying the AHL, Krejci and Fabbri would both be on expiring deals and can bring back good assets at the deadline.

I would kill for krejci on this team. They need another center like crazy who can play and take the stress off Larkin. They have the money to overpay a guy like him or stastny to come in and help this team short term.

Not bad. Svech and Berggren do not belong on a 4th line and Hirose is not an NHL player. Hopefully Smith can be a full-timer on the 4th next year.

Would love to see Raymond and Veleno up next year, but I doubt it.

Yzerman will be picking a nice LHD in the draft and I wouldn't be against an RNH long-term deal.

I think switch veleno and bjugstad, switch hirose and berggeron, switch djoos and dk and it's looking good. You should add hughes or power to the d-core instead of resigning Merrill.

i thought about that but im banking on them finishing near the bottom again and getting a chance at Wright, Savoie, or Lambert

understandable, maybe this can be "after the trade deadline" roster. i think they slowly introduce all these players at different times

i feel like raymonds game would translate well to the NHL, hes 200ft responsible and hes still playing a slightly sheltered role in SHL so the numbers dont pop too well. if he played in the SHL next year, i think hed be over a point per game
