right now i don't think colorado needs either of those guys. We finally have a healthy roster and bennett doesn't really bring anything to replace anyone and i've watched calgary not play rittich in the playoffs after he's had solid seasons for them so i don't know why colorado would trade for him heading into playoffs

Rittich is an interesting one going into the playoffs, he is a perfect goalie to play 25-30 games in a season and avoid long stretches. Every time it gets close to the playoffs he is usually upwards of 40 games and you can see him start to fault, that paired with a really hot Mike Smith and Cam Talbot at the end of the year makes for Rittich on the bench.

This has more to do with past issues and management bringing in the wrong player than the player. Imo Bennet just isn’t good enough.

The most egregious obviously was Brad May, the best move of moving somebody difficult obviously was Duchene (evidently the locker room and MacKinnon were allowed to blossom) but ROR had that rep at the time, and guys like Mironov were just released from their contract. Now this is obviously my own opinion but I do think Sakic is very cognizant of the types of players he brings in, Moser the tv announcer has made the comment about how the Avs are team that are straight business very little chirping etc.... I could be over playing my own thoughts but the teams take on the personality of their coaches and Bednar is the same way. Again all this is just my opinion.
