The Stafford trade I like but that's way too much to ask for Trouba. Take out Svechnikov and Turgeon and you may have something.

Wonder if the Jets should have traded Trouba to the Wings at the beginning of the season when the Wings might have thought they were a contender instead of probably into a full rebuild.
Boston has some good young pieces (junior, AHL) that might be a better fit than the Wings now.

Red Wings won't trade for him. They are going to rebuild. No way they can win with the team as currently constructed.

Don't be so sure, Detroit doesn't need a rebuild here we need 2 solid PMD Fowler and Trouba would do the job we just need a massive upgrade on D and this team will be far better then it is now.

Agreed that's massive overpayment for Trouba.

Jets should have dealt him the minute he asked out. Never keep players that don't want to be there. They should have traded him anywhere and let him be some other teams problem. Obviously, they would need to wait for the right deal and not just give him away...but they should have traded him as soon as they signed him. I hate young guys who ask for trades. He hasn't earned a damn thing in this league...pay your dues, serve your time, and shut your mouth until you've earned the privilege of becoming a UFA.
