He's a hell of a player, but the coach has very little tolerance for BS. And this is a pretty good return. This is why I don't post trades for the Leafs. (though I do comment my opinions) Fan bases fall in love with and over value their players. IMO this put's both Ottawa and Calgary in a good position moving forward.

No way in hell the Flames would take this deal. Hanifin isn't some throw in player, he was drafted 5th overall for a reason. Hell I wouldn't take this deal if Ottawa gave the same offer and the Flames were only offering M. Tkachuk. The Flames don't want spare parts and scrap for their valuable players lol.
