I’m not even sure elder is even an nhl defenseman at this point in his career. He’s a bottom pair defenseman at best.

Much as I'd like to think about the possible return in an Edler trade, and as awesome as this would be for a Canucks fan (and not for a panthers fan it's a pretty terrible trade from their perspective), it's a moot point since he's never going to waive his no trade
