Just keep Holl, why trade him? He's been terrific all year.

Holl is not a top tier top 4 defenseman, just because they have been good does not mean they shouldn’t look to upgrade holl. If the leafs want to be a top tier team their top 4 defense need to be really good. Holl just wouldn’t be in the top four of teams like Vegas, Tampa, Washington.

You do not know that. The fact is, he's been very successful and has done nothing to make anyone think he isn't deserving of being a top 4 defender. He isn't a big name, he's a late bloomers and because of that a lot of people think he isn't good enough. He's proven he is, he continues to prove he is and he makes 2 million. He is one of the best value contracts in the entire league. Never is the reason we lost and has been a reason we won, several times. That is money, wasting assets on a guy like Severson who is in no way an upgrade but has a reputation of being an upgrade just to make you feel like there is a better name in Holl's spot is just wasteful.
