Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

With a suspension of Kuznetsov Russia lacks the center depth. Raz never comes to the national team anymore. Vadim Shipachyov takes a 2C position due to his high productivity in KHL. Probably would need some bottom 6 additions from KHL since some players are just not good as checkers. Team Russia plays with 4 lines and 4 pairs of D. Tarasenko might end up in LTIR. Overall, here is my list:

I like the boldess of putting Romanov on the first pairing. But taking Ovechkin off his preferred left wing is not gonna work.

Yeah, goodness knows Russia always has enough drama to deal with, not the least the political schism

I just tried to even the pairs so the we have a pair of an offensive D and the 2way/def D. Ovi error is corrected. Just did not notice that.

The last IIHF WC has proven that this is a wrong perception that a team does not need checkers. And the team who has proven that was Russia. So, I hope we learn on our mistakes.
