If I'm the Flames I do this in a heartbeat. If I'm BOS there's no way I'm moving McAvoy.

Speaking as a Flames fan, I much prefer this compared to the deal that involved Johnny and Hanifin for Debrusk Griz and a couple picks.

I was quoted earlier today saying Boston and Calgary might not be good trade partners. But this is the closest proposal I’ve come across from Boston in awhile.

I've always thought highly of Gio, but he's past his prime. You might be right that they aren't good trade partners. As an impartial bystander, I like the Johnny / Hannifin for Debrusk / Griz picks better for both teams.

Do you see Johnny and Gio for Debrusk and MacAvoy as fair or in Calgary’s favor? Just curious. I don’t follow the Bruins nearly close enough.

Calgarys favour 100% i Don't follow the Bruins that much but I seen a post a while back who was more valuable to there team Matthew Tkachuk and Mcavoy and everyone said McAvoy. And I agree with them since

I do. Johnny > Debrusk and Gio < MacAvoy, so that's kind of a push when you look at it that way, but we've seen both Johnny and Gio's ceiling (and Gio won't get close to that ever again). McAvoy is a #1 and only 23, and we haven't seen fully what Debrusk can do yet. This keeps CAL in the mix this year, and is much better for their future, while it shortens an already short BOS window.

Alright that makes sense to me. Seems like a risky add to me but maybe either a 1st rounder this year or next year or a first rounder with some protection because the Flames are shaping up to have a really high pick in this upcoming draft.
