Mock

Created by: Hasbro
Team: 2021-22 Colorado Avalanche
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 23, 2021
Published: Apr. 7, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Results of a mock offseason I participated in. Before Sakic renders everything moot Monday.

Couple things:
IRL I'm more apt to trade picks this year than prospects, because of the lack of scouting on this draft class

Had to buy out Erik Johnson, because Expansion draft exemptions not allowed, so this scenario is closer if EJ gets Hossa's Disease.

Draft picks:
1/25 Sebastian Cossa, G, Edmonton Oil Kings (WHL)
3/90 Cameron Whynot, D, Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL)

That Severson trade is pretty offensive.

Surprised to see such negative reactions by NJ fans. Do you rate Severson as a no.1 Dman or something?

Helleson was Team USA's top shutdown Dman at the WJC's and is on track to be a solid middle pair RHD as a teams lead shutdown guy, which is exactly what NJ need.

There will be much better options for SEA than Sturm from MN.

There will be much better option for Seattle such as Carson soucy. Wild aren't just going to give nico away especially to division rivals like Colorado

But Severson is one of our best defensemen right now. Second best behind Smith. He's been very good this year and we aren't trading him unless its a big overpayment.

The Mock I was in Minnesota and Seattle made a side deal based around Fiala with the condition Seattle took Sturm.
