Some nice ideas. Actual value for value, which is something you dont often see.

Nice job.

BUT!!!! Weal doesn't get a 5th anywhere. Nit picky I know, but Weal probably cost MTL a 5th or 6th for somebody to take him.

I would still rather upgrade the LHD with either Butcher or Dunn than trade for Savard but if you could do both it would make the team that much better

He’s been playing well in the AHL and we don’t have room for him. At the very least, it makes any team a little deeper and only costs them 325,000 to take him, if he doesn’t play. That can add some stability to a roster, so i think they receive a pick for him. I would go down to a 6th or 7th if necessary.

I know but he is a Danick Martel, a Jeremy Bracco....he is a good AHL with good stats, but hes been in the NHL for extended periods and just isnt an NHLer. Hes not young, and I dont see rebuilding or contending clubs really wanting him.

Hes 28 yrs old and has been with 5 clubs and played 218 over 5 NHL seasons, he is what he is: a good scoring AHLer, being paid too much

With Chairot coming back, I feel really good about our D, especially for the playoffs. The only issue I have with dunn and Butcher is their size: butcher is 180 and dunn is 200. Savard is 230, which is really important in the playoffs especially on d. With eddy, chairot and romi on the left, we have some biggg defenceman for teams to deal with. Plus, savard being slow doesn’t really hurt because he would play with romi who can skate.

Yeah, probably. Make it a fourth or fifth, or make it with another team. Couldnt care less

That’s fair. There is room for his cap in the nhl, so it doesn’t have to go through for this to work
