george has been really bad but DQ just never plays gauthier nd scratches him for no reason might as well trade him

Gauthier is better than Blackwell, PDG, Howden, Rooney, and Brodzinski. He should be playing.

Georgiev has struggled a bit so we shouldn't trade him until he improves and we find a new backup.

he currently is not better than blackwell but he is better than all the rest. DQ's line decisions are terrible

I wouldn't be against this as a Leafs fan but it seems more like an offseason move than a deadline one. Leafs can't protect George from the expansion draft and while he probably won't get taken, its always a risk.

I was thinking of a mid tier prospect, because I could see this deal looking really bad for the Rangers in a couple of years when Julian become the 2nd coming of Hyman.
And that not taking into account if Georgiev bounces back!

No, this is what they should have asked for last year instead of the Kapanen and a 1st lunacy they were expecting for a backup who has a career GAA above 3.

No, Ulmark could be available and he's been much better than Georgiev, Hutchinson has been better.

GAA is a terrible goalie stat to justify ones value since rangers had terrible defense. You should look goals saved above expected as a better metric
