Upgrade that 3rd to a 2nd

I don’t think that’s enough for Oleksiak.

A few Dallas fans have agreed with me on a 2nd + SDA or Abramov gets Oleksiak with retention. Oleksiak alone would probably be a 2nd.

Dallas says no. Two reasons why, 1. They don't see themselves as sellers. 2. They like the Oleksiak - Heiskanen pairing and want Oleksiak in a Stars uniform next season. For Dallas to trade him it would likely have to be an overpayment on Toronto's part.

Iafallo is a much better player than Palmieri is now and SHOULD get more than him in a trade, but throwing in Zajac (who is really really bad) made Lou actually want to do the trade more, and thus probably paid more for Palms. I dunno how the value translates.

I dont see the leafs paying close to that for a guy who would be on their bottom pairing that they might get 20 games out of

Think the trade values are fair. Like that no current Leafs are off the roster. But as said above, Dallas are still in the playoff hunt so don't think they do the deal
