    The NJ trade useless from the Hawks side. TVR is an NHL defenseman. And Schmaltz has more potential than Quenneville.

    It'd certainly be nice to see some veteran forwards take cheap deals for a shot at a Cup next season with the Blackhawks a la Brad Richards in 2015. With most teams near the cap, there certainly aren't going to be many Cup contenders handing out big contracts to players over 35. I suspect Thornton and Marleau would sooner take cheap 1 year deals to stay with the Sharks though.

    Thornton already said that he either resigns with San Jose or retires so not happening.

    LMFAO no way does either Marleau or Thorton sign for $1.5 million per get real here rumor has it that Thornton is seeking a 3 year deal around $5.5 million per from San Jose.
