A cheap team like Arizona is not going to take on a Sutter and Scuderi salary. Same for Bickell of Chicago. Please Armchair GMs, you just can't dump salary on teams like Arizona, Carolina and New Jersey and expect anything in return.

Forgot to add. Still 2 forwards short on roster. You haven't included Hanzal on your roster, therefore still over cap. In two years you'll be buying out Kessell.

First off 23 roster spots is the max its not a requirement. Having 21 0r 22 roster players happens. Hanzal indeed is already on the roster and no need to buyout Kessel. Next Hanzal is nearing ufa and almost 30. Obviously what they have been doing has not been working so why not try to see if Hanzal is available. They are currently in a rebuild so sutter makes them younger at center and bennet is making peanuts and is young with potential. They are still in the league last i heard so they have to dress players and stay at cap floor. So taking on veteran defenseman with expiring deals is not the worse thing. Maybe add in a pick. Also just ideas, thats why its just armchair gm. (would maybe look at berglund too)

I don't think the Pens need to make a move for a guy like Hanzal now. The talent is there, they need to sign depth players like Fehr, Goc, Santorelli... Guys that can produce and do it cheaply.
