Why would Edmonton want Jimmy Howard and his large salary?

Seems like a reasonable roster. I also assume the cap will be going up by next summer but $5M for Mrazek? Otherwise, good job, bud.

#1 goaltenders make a lot of money, if Mrazek gets the bulk of the starts next season and finishes top 10 in GAA and SV%, not out of reach considering his performance in the playoffs where IMO he was the better of the two goaltenders vs. Bishop, he'll be in for a big payday next summer.

Hello Graderman : With the Canadian dollar now at 76 cents US , the NHL cap may not rise much. Predict more cap problems for teams next year.

Well, good thing the Hawks won this past season because it may be a while that they win again.

    Sorry for the hijack, folks.
