Nice Parise trade for both. 2nd is good for Parise. I don't think that we trade for Rakell. It is going to be his 3rd contract and he would likely want to cash in the season after. He is good, but I don't think that it is beneficial considering his age.

Laughable and easy no for the islanders. The praise trade is dead. Let it go. The islanders have no reason to even do Ladd for Parise straight up

Kaprizov’s value is projected around 9.5m as a cap hit. So that would make this kinda rough

Where are you pulling that projection from? Just curious. I know the EvolvingHockey/EvolvingWild guys are putting out their projections around May 1st.

Michael Russo did a very detailed breakdown of what his contract looks like and the circumstances around his particular rfa status. But the details put him at a bridge deal of around 7mish which walks him to ufa status which Chicago did with panarin or else long term which will would be asking for 10m ish. Huge money.

Ok, I didn't know if this was something more recent or just another source. I read all of Russo's stuff and even though he does good work, it's always nice to see other data points to compare and contrast.

Agreed. I can’t picture the wild offering something short term. It’ll be long term and big money. Can’t picture anything small cause if he doesn’t like it he’ll just go back to Russia.
