Super excited for another expansion draft this most likely won't be close because it's hard to project what the trade values out there might be. Should be fun though.

Edmundson is going to get protected by the habs, and that goaltending tandem is terrible. Ottawa would need to pay an extremely large amount to get Seattle to take Murray, and Holtby isn’t exactly on a great deal.

You have to sell tickets and I think bringing in 1 or both players would do that for the fanbase. We look at these things way too much from the hockey side, where we need to realistically understand that this is a business. Say what you want about PK's performance but bringing in a former Norris winner with the personality that he has for 1 year when realistically NJ's pool of exp draft talent is thin anyway to me is a no brainer.

Okay then I'm sure they'd take Chariot then, also the goalie group isn't that bad. **** it's 2 of the last 5 years stanley cup winners... How soon we forget.

We’re also talking about 2 goalies who have sub-.900 save percentages this year and last (other than Holtby, who’s barely over this year). You could get goalies with similar numbers for league minimum as free agents. And sure they could bounce back a bit, but there’s no reason to take on their terrible contracts without incentive.

And just because you win a cup, doesn’t mean you’re a good goalie. See Antti Niemi.

No. No one is showing up to the Kraken's first season because they landed a 1 year contract on 37 year old Joe Pavelski at 7 million. I can buy the argument that fans might get excited at a shell of his former self in PK who at 32 will still eat 9 mill in cap space. Buy why would you ever waste the pick when he is going to hit FA at the end of your inaugural season. You simply could have just picked him up in free agency
