No on the trade. Bruins aren't giving up a 1st and Vaak to play Verhaeghe on the 3rd line. And they'd try to bring back Rask before Halak.

You are aware I'm a Bruins fan and I know what I'm doing, Verhaege is 25 years old and averaging close to a point per game with 36 points in 42 games with the Florida panthers. Also based on how the Bruins are going, we are likely to have a later round draft pick, and Vaakanainen is decent but not a top 4 defender. Fair trade slightly in our favor.

Why would anyone sell a point per game player who plays for one million? 1st line wingers usually cost at least 6x more if they are on a bargain deal like Huberdeau. At least take Yandle's contract away if you try to get Verhaeghe, so the Panthers have money to replace him.

That Florida trade is good for Florida. I can’t see Verhaeghe putting up the kind of points he is putting up again next season. Vaakanainen is a decent if not good prospect to bolster the defense of the Panthers with a late 1st to even out value. Florida steals Vaakanainen and the 1st for a guy who imo won’t put up points like this. Well done on making a trade that is actually reasonable on here.
