I'd rather just keep Formenton

I can't see that getting Strome. He's pretty solid

I've made the Strome Keller comparison a lot

And I stand by it

Formenton seems good, but quite that good?

I've been wondering a lot if Gusev stays in the NHL at that type of cap hit and idk really but seems doubtful he's such a unique guy though so maybe he's eager

Strome is fine, but I don't think he's a great fit in Ottawa. In a 3rd line role, I think I'd prefer Formenton. Strome is a solid complimentary skill player, but he's not a top six player for Ottawa in my opinion, and for what Ottawa wants from their 3rd line I think Formenton is a much better fit. His speed makes him a threat at all times especially off turnovers, he's responsible defensively and he plays an abrasive game. He's also developing into an incredible penalty killer.

You might think Strome is the better player, but I don't really think he's the better player for Ottawa.
