2021 Offseason

Created by: HockeyNut82
Team: 2021-22 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 13, 2021
Published: May 4, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Brings back Ryan, seemed to fit in well in DET, played well before injury, and seemed to like it in DET.

Palat waives his NTC (assuming he as DET on it), to come play for a familar GM, play top line minutes in a contract year, and Yzerman agrees to trade him at the TDL to a contender, so Palat doesn't miss out on playoffs. Move of course helps TB with cap.

Ryan / Namestinkov / Gagner / Palat / Stecher all TDL bait for later in the season.

Palat isn't a negative value cap dump. He's a top line winger who is 2nd on the Bolts in scoring. It would cost a 2nd to acquire Palat

I’ll give ya that. Palat is better than Staal.

Hronek should get closer to $5M for a long term deal IMO. Gotta lock him up as much as possible

I’d still bridge deal him. His play this year hasn’t been that great compared to last year. Need to know which player he is. Probably in the middle.

Also wouldn’t be surprised if Yzerman deals him.

Bridging hronek is the best approach I think. He has been a bit iffy last month or so but dude looks tired.
