Yeah, the Sabres are going to take the worst goaltender on the market, with a long-term bloated salary, and you think you’re getting anything of value in return? They could throw a dart at a name on the free agent board and hit a better goaltender than Koskinen, and probably pay him less. If they’re paying any goaltender as much as he already makes they’ll keep Ullmark.

I'll never understand buying out players when you have 8M cap. Just bury Neal for the 4.6M still going to have 5.5M cap room and won;'t have 4 years of dead space

I don't think Buffalo or anybody will take Koskinen at least not at full salary but his contract isn't long-term as it only has 1 year remaining. I'm sure they want to keep Ullmark but that's not up to just the team anymore. He may want to test the market and land on a better team like Carolina, Toronto, Edmonton, Colorado never know how the goalie roulette will workout
