I can't see LA (or anyone else) paying a price like that.

Right now that 2021 pick is 9th overall and if Vancouver wins 2 of their games against Calgary and gets one point more among the other two games with Edmonton and Calgary, it becomes 8th overall.

I can live with that offer and this is the most we should pay unless we add something minor like Austin Wagner or Kale Clague.

Haha. I don't know. Why would BUF do it then? it's gotta be a great offer.

Nobody's twisting their arm. Sometimes, you have to be willing to walk away from the table. Personally, I don't like Eichel to the Kings at all. People have always approached that idea from the wrong direction -- the Kings have the most appealing young assets, therefore that's where the deal should be. With Byfield, Turcotte and possibly Vilardi behind Kopitar (who still has at least three good years left), I don't see the need at all. Now, Anaheim is the SoCal team that needs Eichel. The question is, can they put together an acceptable package for him that doesn't involve Zegras, Drysdale or the 2021 first?

I agree that LA is not well-positioned in terms of their timeline, not their actual asset pool. Ducks might need to. What else would they offer?
