Description
Is a Kuznetsov - Drouin trade a possibility? With Kuznetsov off-ice problem and Drouin's personal problem a change of scenario could be beneficial. And I know Kuzy is better than drouin but caps need to save money and drouin is on a shorter deal. Maybe add a contract going back to montreal or a pick going back to wsh?

that thought crossed my mind the other day. imo drouin will succeed elsewhere because the pressure is too strong here. he can easily score 20-25 goals with the caps. similar age
contract for kuzy may be an issue though

Yeah but since kuzy is a more proven player who hit the 80 pts mark I think its worth taking more money

Drouin would not get a top-six wing spot in WSH, but Kuznetsov sometimes plays #1C in WSH. Two Caps fans said no to this yesterday. I was the more polite one.

WSH doesn't need an upgrade from $1.5M Sheary at 3L to nearly $6M Drouin there. They need two middle six centers and a raise for Ovechkin in Kuznetsov's cap space, so they have depth. It'd be Hagelin and Kempny four Drouin, with a pick and a prospect for Kuznetsov. Then they'd flip Drouin to Edmonton or Pittsburgh for whatever.

While Kuznetsov got caught the number of NHL players who have tried coke is a lot higher than you think. The body breaks down cocaine rather quickly in about 12 hours it's no longer detectable in you blood, a day or 2 and it no longer detectable in saliva and in 2-4 days it no longer detectable in urine. That is why its popular with people that get drug tested regularly.

I think the caps are not looking to trade kuznetsov unless they can get back a *center* who can help them win next year. Drouin is not that. And for the people saying he's a bad influence go read the quotes from Oshie, one of the biggest leaders in the locker room, about how excited they are to have him back

Actually did he fail a drug test? I thought he was caught because somebody posted a picture of him doing it.

How about adding Poehling? I think he was great in the ahl last year and is ready for a nhl role. He’s not the best but project to be a good middle 6 center.

I wouldn't want to add Poehling to that Trade. I would find a different prospect and maybe a pick but I would rather MTL no trade Poehling if this trade were to happen

He failed a test and got suspended 4 years by the Russian federation, and like 2-3 games by the NHL for the video...

I do agree either way it's just not a smart move in the first place.
