MIN

Additional Details:
Sabres fans will hate this because its not the 4 best prospects and two first overall picks. If you think the Pegula's are going to let a minor obstacle like trade value keep them from making an awful trade I have some July 1 2018 bad news for you.

He played centre in a bad team because Buffalo has no good options at centre outside of Eichel. Who else do you want to play 2C? Mittelstadt? Girgensons? Eakins? A rookie Cozens? ... there are no good centres after Eichel. That's why Reinhart played centre.

& a lot of guys are drafted as a centre because in junior they tend to play centre seeing as the top players dominate junior and make their teammates better in junior. It means very little when it comes to the NHL. JVR was drafted as a centre, so was Marner. Doesn't mean that they transition to the NHL at centre.

You are conveniently ignoring the part where he played /well/ at centre, in spite of having brutal line mates at 5v5.

Bill Guerin traded for calen Addison for a reason. He won't be going anywhere

The idea being they can't trade dumba elsewhere? If Addison is the sticking point to acquiring Jack Eichel he should find a different job.

Yeah, wild aren't going to make their defense worse by trading two dman.

Sorry. Once dumba is traded, Calen Addison takes over for dumba

Wild aren't going to make their cap worse when they need to put a roster together & need to resign fiala, kaprizov, and Joel Eriksson Ek long term so that is why it has to be dumba

Not really. There is a point where you just say no, it's too much. I think this is past that point. This is essentially 4 roster (3 of them young and cheap) players for 1. It leaves MN no cap to fill those holes and no inhouse options either.

I made a team off of this trade and the cap doesn't work at all for MN. They are barely under the cap ($180k) just re-signing JEE, Fiala, and Kaprizov ($18m combined) and have a 16 man roster. Just giving SEA Dumba would mean MN could sign 6 x $1m players to fill out the 4th line, 3rd pair, and 1 pressbox guy.

I will concede this to the minnesota collective here. Looking at it myself now, it is very tight. Not impossible, but perhaps too tight to make a real deal out of it. Appreciate the feedback as always

You're most likely right, but Clague is an expansion risk and this would give them a lot of flexibility to start adding talent over the next two years.

The fact you’re even defending this trade is laughable. Kings don’t need cap space. And all that for a 7th. Get real!

Not sure how you think Reinhardt is worth that much.

I’m not sure id do Tuch for him straight up because of the contract situation. Then you add in 2 firsts? Yeah no…/
