Next season is a prime one for tanking.

Parise isn't waiving for Arizona. There's zero chance like ever suter is waiving. Like ever

Suter especially isn't ever waiving. He lives on farm during the summer

Also parise isn't waiving for a rebuilding team. He's only waive for islanders, a contending team

Noway is either Parise or Suter waiving their NMC for Arizona, And Ekman-Larsson only wants Boston or Vancouver doubt he'd have any interest what so ever in Minnesota.

The Pitlick deal doesn’t make much sense for either team - Edmonton isn’t in the market for a depth RW (we have Archibald and Kassian and will likely re-sign Chaisson) and Arizona would seem to to be better off with Pitick than whoever they’d draft in the 6th round.

How this team had basically no draft picks, a lot of old guys and the point is the owners are not sure they could pay everyone, so the contracts they picked up mean they can reach the floor and not have to pay that much cash.

From what I’ve gathered from sparsely watching Edmonton is that they do not have good enough support players. Pitlick is better than Archibald and Kassian, arguably Chiasson too. I also think pitlick can play either wing. Also on the ARI side he is going to be a free agent better to get something for him than nothing.

Basically plus these contracts allow the owners to reach cap minimum with out paying much cash.

Parish is gone from Min. He was scratched to get that message, and only playing now cause of injuries. No contending team can afford that contract. If he wants to play he will have to go to a rebuilding team. NYI were in on him but my guess is they are now out, due to cap constraints. If Parise goes There is a non-zero chance Suter might be willing to go to. I think OEL looks at Minnesota and says hell it can’t be worse than staying in ARI for the rest of his contract.

Parise would probably waive his no trade but Suter will not. He is best buds with the owner of the Wild and is exactly where he wants to be. Value on your deal though is probably pretty good for the Wild although I think Suter is currently a better player than Ekman-Larsson. I suspect he will start to bounce back once he is in a new environment though.

I know most people on here hate this plan you laid out here. I on the other hand get the logic and see it as a viable plan for Arizona. Though I am certain Suter won't waive. Parise would if it means he plays and enjoys tax incentives.
