Not enough for Kuzy. People are mad at him but trading a proven 1-2c for garbage doesn’t help you win now or later. I’d rather keep him or let him go to Russia before I just give away a player of his skill level to a team in our division for pennies on the dollar

Kuzy had 16p in his last 20 games to end the season

Agree, not to mention that Columbus is almost certainly on Kuznetsov's no-trade list. The best trade partner for Kuznetsov would be Calgary with Monahan coming back. Both teams are going to want to make changes, but I can't imagine Kuznetsov flourishing under a guy like Darryl Sutter lol

      1) Should probably be getting a 1st or 2 2nds from CBJ + that return.

      2) Can't be letting TJ Oshie go; he should retire with Washington and is still an effective player anyway.

      3) We can't be sending Garnet Hathaway to the Rangers. That's the last place we should be sending any gritty, tough players.

Agreed; I think Monahan would be a good fit too. I think sending Kuznetsov to Seattle for expansion draft favours +++ (as I did in my own armchair GM team) would be the best solution. You can sign a similar-fitting player to Monahan like Danault in the offseason or find one via another trade.

He might. Kuzy makes dumb decisions but he’s the same guy that went to Lav to see what he could do to get more ice time. He improved his defense and caught fire Before landing on the covid list again. 16p last 20 games

I wouldn't send him to Seattle. There's not a bad enough contract to justify using Kuznetsov as sweetener to select, and signing free agents doesn't always bear positive results.

Lavy is not nearly as intense as Sutter lol. That's what I'm getting at. Lavy might be a bit of a hard-ass, but Sutter is probably the biggest hard-ass in the league that isn't Torts.

I completely agree with everything you said here. Especially Oshie, Idk why so many people think we should give Oshie up, that would be a terrible move.
