Major Offseason Changes

Team: 2021-22 Edmonton Oilers
Team Explanation
In my opinion, Ken Holland needs to have a MASSIVE off-season for the Oilers or else McDavid might consider leaving Edmonton. He has 26, 000, 000 this off-season to play around with. This is the off-season that makes or break the Oilers. Do it right and they are a contender for years to come, do it wrong and this team will be plagued to be a good regular season team and nothing else. The foundation for a great team is here, can Kenny Holland fill in those last pieces?

Trades
EDM
More can be added but this is the rough basis of the trade. Kraken have to reach the cap floor while also getting 4-6 puck moving defensemen and a potential top 9 winger. Third round pick added in to just give more value to Seattle

    Additional Details:
This is the big trade for the off-season for the oilers. San Jose is a rebuilding team so they will love quality prospects and picks. Broberg had an ok season but the raw talent is there and has the potential to be a top pairing defensemen. Samorukov is more of a project but the potential for him to be a top 4 d man is there for the Sharks especially with their history with developing defensemen. 1st is self explanatory. Kassian is just a body that the sharks can flip at the deadline next year.

This year's pick isn't that valuable, since it's in a weaker draft and it'll most likely go 18-21 range. The winner of this trade depends on how well Meier plays with McDavid.

Don’t forget meiers QO is 10 million. So Edmonton has to factor that into their budget.

Strong offer but I’d rather take on Koskinen than Kassian for cap relief.

The main issue with Oilers is that their bottom 6 FE is not not good enough, and from that... you did not change nuch

Kassian costs quite a bit to dump himself. Also Broberg doesn’t impress me as much as others. I would pass
