Were going to lose a good player

Description
The contracts are placeholders. We pretty much know what they will be played and I'm lazy on mobile. Hence the 1M and no FA signings

So yea were going to lose kerfoot Holl or Dermott. Kerfoot still front runner for me as Holl will be protected most likely. It do free 3.5m in cap but he has always been a underrated player on the leafs. Dermott showed he can play and on both sides on D. It's going to suck

Its fine, Dermott and Kerfoot are both replaceable. Dermott doesn't even have a spot on the Leafs currently with Sandin jumping him and 3.5m is a lot of money to fill Kerfoot's role with.

Agreed. I get that people fall in love with their players, but Dermott is a bottom pairing dman, and Kerfoot is a decent 3C. Losing Kerfoot is actually good for the Leafs, as it likely frees up enough money to make a Hyman extension palatable.

Or we pay something like a 3rd for them to take Dermott.

We have a plethora of 3rd pair guys right now, and two younger guys with higher potential.

Kerfoot is also replaceable. But I absolutely love him and would like to see him stay.

I'm glad to see Kerfoot finally getting recognized by more on here. It's interesting how come playoff time fans actually start to recognize the true value in players. Regular season play means nothing once the real games start. Just ask Edmonton.

I’ve always liked Kerfoot, I thought he was solid, good player and not scared of a physical game despite his small stature. But man has he really turned it on in the playoffs.

He, imo, was a top 3 player on the ice last game. Hell, he threw a hit or two on Josh Anderson who towers over him 😂

I liked him, but now... holy. I don’t want the guy to leave lmao

The Leafs have 6 picks for the next two drafts. In no situation do I believe Dubas will trade a pick or prospect to protect Dermott or Kerfoot. Will it suck to lose one sure but both are 100 percent replaceable. There are other teams who are going to lose a better prospect or player than the Leafs, IMO

Kerfoot has been unreal in the playoffs, but we can't act like he isn't replaceable

Yea they're replaceable but they're players. Unlike the Vegas draft.
