Description
I don't think Bergevin gets fired, but I can see Ducharme being let go or moved to an associate coach. I want to leave joel boucahrd in laval for a few more years so he can develop our next wave of prospects as he's done an amazing job. Also that lets him train a mentor in Laval who can continue this development which has been lacking for the Habs. Coach should be Gallant or Tochet. Yes hire a non-french speaking coach if need be and put him beside ducharme/burrows during interviews. Richarson has done a good job with the slow moving d-men we have, but the organization as a whole needs to adopt a new philosphy of transition, skill, and speed. defense wins game offense entertains, but defense only wins you games when they're part of the offense.

As for the roster, IMO, Habs need puck movers. Offensive minded d-men. We have the stay at home d-men. Each D- pairing has 1 'defensive minded d-man and one offensive d-man. that way one player stays back and protects the point while the other d-man can jump into the rush or carry the puck in the zone instead of dumping and chasing. as for the forwards, RNH is an great 2-way centermen who can provide depth offense and skill down the middle. Suzuki will continue to get better and IMO he'll score 20 goals next year. Caufield will continue to get better but he needs to play with some cockiness because he has the skills and shot to back it up. Hoffman is a pure goal scorer, someone who can streak down the middle and just snipe it into the net. KK needs stable line mates. eventually he'll become a top 6 center. RNH can play wing as well, so eventually he can be moved to wing. Poehling had an amazing year in Laval. Let him play in the top 9 with a skilled player in KK.

If anyone gives RNH a pay raise they should be fired.

I love Nuge, but I pity whatever team gives him a contract like that. He's been in this league for 10 years now, and it's apparent that he'll never be able to drive his own line. He's never worked out as our 2C and most fans agree that he plays his best as a complimentary 2-way winger. He'll help your special teams, but signing him for that much would be a horrendous mistake

If you think he will perform like a 2c, then you shouldn’t sign him. He’s a bad center man honestly, and he needs good players to carry his line. He’s a better winger honestly, but I wouldn’t sign him to that much if I was you.

He can play as one, but he’s not the best one. Apologies if I was a little rude. I was just trying to give my reasoning.

Nuge is quite good defensively but whoever gives him a deal like that should be fired. He's gonna probably sign 5.5x5 in edm and stay on drai's wing

if he wants 5.5 x 5, habs can give him 6.5 x 5. we're desperate for real skill.

He'll want more than that. 5.5 is a team friendly deal. if he hits open FA he'll want north of 7 mil

btw, if anything, habs need RNH and the oilers need danault. danault can't run his own line, but he is a natural center for sure
