I like this idea OP, I've been exploring similar options myself. Since the Caps probably don't take on Parise, I think what you have to do is send ZP to Seattle along with Soucy and a 1st. Then try to package Dumba to WASH for Kuzy. I think if you package Dumba to WASH, it no longer requires that 1st. Other pieces, yes, but not necessarily one of the 21 1sts. You can send 1 to BUF in a package for Reinhardt and the other to SEA for taking on ZP.

Maybe something like Dumba + 2nd + B prospect? Not sure on Kuzy's valuation or what the Caps are looking for in return.

The Reinhart package might be light? I'm very high on Beckman, so I don't think it is, especially since BUF is handcuffed a bit, but I'd anticipate a few ppl barking over that.

Thoughts?

I think the Reinhart trade is fine. Beckman looks like a pretty good prospect.

Beckman is very solid - he had 62 pts in 68 games in the WHL leading into his draft year, which is obviously good but helps explain why he was a 3rd round. People get hung up on that, but the year after his draft, he lead the entire league with 107 pts (48G, 59A) in 63 games. If you watch him play, he looks very solid. He can play both C and Wing, but he's very offensively minded so his defense does lack a bit. Probably better suited on the wing, but defensive maturity comes with time in the AHL.

That said, Reinhart proved a lot this year and definitely drove his value way up. He'll be a hot commodity and I hope BUF gets a fair return.
