I don’t like trading for kuznetzov. Id rather see a heavy futures return for Jones and a separate trade with a smaller guy coming in. ( schmaltz, d. Strome etc).

I know and correct me if I’m wrong but I believe there is reports on them wanting a 1c for Jones.

Actually a pretty good thought on the trade. Really the only question is whether Kutz, is the guy you want for 4 years at 7.8m. If Columbus does, I could Washington liking the deal, partly just to open up cap space in 22/23

Very true. However we are not competing right now and would probably prefer young players and futures compared to an aging regressing kuzy. Plus he’d never waive for us so it ends the convo right there.

Personally I am not a fan of bringing in Kuz due to character concerns, but I like the trades value and need-wise.
