why would carolina do this? is the 80 point centermen more valuable at 8 million or a 90 point winger at 10.5? obviously the centerman at 8 mill. 2 mill less for 10-15 fewer points and playing a more important position on the ice.

Yea no. Marner is far more expensive, and Aho is a way better player, and Holl doesn't close the cap. Who would be our 1C? I wouldn't put Troch or Staal in that situation and Necas is better suited on the wing. Hard pass from the Canes.
