That doesn't get you either Morgan Rielly or Seth Jones. Both can get far better offers then this.

You shouldn't get Morgan Rielly because you didn't even spell his name right.

The Leafs don't need Nate Schmidt. I think a trade with Vancouver could potentially work, but Toronto is probably going to want somebody on an ELC who can produce in their bottom-6 and another roster player. Hoglander is an intriguing player but Vancouver would need to add. Toronto doesn't want draft picks, and I don't know if Hoglander and Pearson would be enough.

I have recently learned that Morgan rielly has more value than I thought. Thought he would be worth a 1st + B- asset but apparently its 1st + A asset +

LOL hoglander in his own is a massive overpayment for one year of Rielly. Canucks also don’t really need Rielly. Scoring from the back end isn’t a problem, it’s keeping the puck out of heir net they need to improve. I’d rather target Hill than Rielly from the leafs

Since Hill doesn't exist, I'll assume you mean Holl. I am sure the Leafs would talk about him, I am sure they will talk about a lot of players.

Hoglander is pretty unproven. He's a 20 year old 2nd round pick who scored 13 goals in 56 games. DId he look good at times, sure. But to say that his worth is far and above a clear #1 defenceman is pretty silly, even though every fan on here overvalues their own players and refuses to ever trade anyone. If the Leafs wanted only Hoglander for Morgan Rielly, I don't think the Canucks would think twice.

I also don't think Rielly is a good fit for Vancouver (I'm not the one who suggested the trade, just giving feedback). He plays the same role as Quinn Hughes, I don't think you need two of those guys and Hughes is much cheaper (and already on the roster). There's a natural connection people make since Rielly is from BC however.

Your speaking as if 20 years old is old
