Not sure $453,000 is the type of savings they'd be looking for.

They can deal strome if they want then for a late first or early second or something, I just wanted to package an offer without involving assets from another mock trade while being as close to the value needed as possible. I wouldn't do this deal as a hawks fan even, just was thinking.

Marner and Kane on the same line would be bonkers

It's a proposal obviously that 3 players fill more holes then 1 player for the same cap hit. As a Hawks fan, I don't love it for that reason. Kubalik and Strome are locked up as RFAs, Marner is a UFA when his term is done. Plus dedicating $11M to one position for the Hawks that is not our biggest need is problematic IMO. Kubalik fills that top line winger role just fine, while Murphy fills our biggest need of more defensive defensemen. Strome is a 3C in Chicago but can be moved separately as part of a package to address our biggest need which is another solid defensive defenseman on the left opposite of Murphy on the right. I just don't see this as being smart for Chicago as such, when for the first time we actually have a ton of cap space.

To the original AGM, this is also a no-go for Chicago as we need enough cap space at minimum to cover the bonuses this year due to utilizing the LITR space in the offseason and season. Bonuses need to be covered first.
