Get Kyle Davidson his Keys pt 1

TB keeps their 4 you can keep stalock. Pretty much in every game he's played post game interviews at some point players say Moose kept us in there and gave us a chance to win. Often he's been the best Lightning player on the ice.</div></div>
I apologize, I wasn't familiar with his game like that.

I love tanking
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>delneggs</b></div><div>I did not post this trade, did I? All I said was Chytil and the other young kids and best prospects wouldn't be traded for a Kane rental or any rental. That's not a knock on Kane, it's just good asset management. If a 1st round pick and B prospect isn't enough to rent Kane, then fine, trade him to someone else who will give you more. How is that a problem for anyone?</div></div>
Good asset management includes realizing when your window is at its peak so you can maximize your chances. Chytil will want a raise this offseason, and more important long-term pieces such as K'Andre Miller and Lafreniere to a lesser extent will need new deals along with 6 other players to fill out your roster. Maybe Othmann is ready and that LW spot is even further cluttered (he's sick). Maybe Zac Jones fills in that 3rd LD spot. It isn't a panic but it will be much tougher to put as good of a team as you can this year on the ice as next year. With the roster Drury and Jeff Gorton assembled I think it is in a spot to sacrifice one of its 2 late1st round picks, a late second next year, and a good middle 6 center for a dynamic winger with a playoff resume stronger than the team's combined he'd be joining with an easy spot to fill in which is a need. Panarin, Zibanajed, Kreider, Trocheck and Trouba are at their peaks right now, and hopefully the other young pieces continue to step up as their game's grow. I think slotting in Kane is certainly worth the cost of giving this team an actual chance at a ring instead of a team that would be lucky to make round 2. I think the impact and upgrade he would be is understated by some Ranger fans. There is the infrastructure to continue to build and develop the young group while maximizing the current window. I see your point, and am likely biased but that's my diatribe.
I'd be fine dealing him elsewhere it's just a cop out to slot him with Panarin in NYR. I think Dallas could be a great fit if he would waive and seeing him go to Buffalo if they can get into the mix would be fun too. The Islanders could also swoop in, upgrade and leave them in a slightly better spot than they were, hurting NYR's odds as well, though they aren't really a team that can truly contend contend even with him I don't think, though they would be a stereotypical tough playoff out.

the point was to add a player worth a top 6 spot and clear 1.9 mil in cap for other needed moves bc dubas will do something. Kerfoot is not actually that good, and domi is an upgrade.

That's a no from the hawks, the devils need to add for debrincat not the other way around for the 2nd pick. Don't need to add a ton, but a little on the devils side to make a deal I'd figure.

Getting $3.67M before retiring the next year, and signing with another team for another million dollars doesn't sound ridiculous to me, but hey what's a few million dollars worth anyways right?

Davidsons Plan pt 2 - Toews wants to retire a hawk after season Kane wants out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hammerwise</b></div><div>I just cant see NYR moving Kaapo.
Maybe just Kane and 50% for Kravtsov, NYR 1st and NYR 2nd or a depth player (Gautheir?) Kind of thing. Or Kravtsov, Chytil and a 1st</div></div>
I wouldn't think to do this if Gorton was still there but I feel like Drury is going to make an all out play. Laf has been playing too well to trade recently, and Kratsov's value isn't too high because he wants out to play
Maybe just optimistic about how much Kane would return too since he's the Blackhawks GOAT (besides Khabibulin)

Duchene and Wideman did most of the bashing, and are gone. The team has deliberately targeted high character players since that incident, and if there are any concerns with De Haan or Strome, there isn't a chance the Senators would entertain the thought of trading for them.

push for the playoffs
As a hawks fan I would do this, but Nashville and Chicago don't like each other too much and can't see them doing this. Would probably take a little better draft capital (not a first maybe an earlier 2nd and Vegas 2023 3rd and no Connolly?). Still could never see Nashville trading a good player to Chicago. Also a bit risky bc he's a UFA but Chicago isn't a bad place to play hockey with Kane and toews so they would likely be able to resign him. Also, shaw is retired.
Sidenote, rooting for the isles this year (I like the canadiens too but I don't want a canada team to win bc it's hilarious they haven't won in so long)!

Kane and Toews and Keith will retire hawks, I don't even know if McDavid would get the hawks to trade Kane (hyperbole but not an outrageous point considering McDavid is soft). Also Toronto is a basketball town now btw.

Grubauer
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div>in what world does Makar sign an OS....just bc you think a team can prepare one doesnt mean he will sign it or the Avs wont match.
The probability of Makar singing one, him singing one the Avs wont match is basically 0
And I dont see the Hawks offering Grubauer this deal...last season they didnt want to offer Lehner a long term deal, which is why he was traded and ultimately signed with Vegas. Do you really think that Stan is going to give more AAv and Term 1 year later to Grubauer when he just could have given that to Lehner</div></div>
If makar is offered 11 mil AAV he sure would sign that deal, I want to make the avs pay him a lot and not get a discount so you're screwed when Nate needs a new deal and you can't keep your top line, makar and a good goalie. Crawford was outplaying Lehner, and rather than let Lehner walk for nothing he got some value for him and left his options open with Crow at the end of the season. Also just an FYI, these avs will never be comparable to those hawks teams, the hawks didn't lose round 2 two years in a row in their prime :)
