Copp is likely valued at a 1st and Stastny is a 2nd.
This offer doesn’t cut it for both.
But, I’d do Copp and Stastny for Lundkvist + 2nd + 4th (WPG)/5th

I feel like that Winnipeg trade is a bit low, maybe if the third was a second it would be good. All in all not bad team, would be scary in the playoffs.

Yeah…more that Lund + 3rd would have to go back…as long as the 1st is off the table I’m ok with increasing the offer (as you did) or maybe even increasing a bit more (maybe take out a pick and add Pajuniemi or Cullye??)

Important thing is I think the framework for a deal is here…and these are the type of players that could benefit NYR this year, and beyond…and at the same time give some worthy additions to WPG.

I think the framework is definitely there and that WPG and NYR are good trade partners at this time because we both have what the other is looking for.
Copp + Stastny for Lundkvist + 2nd + Pajuniemi is a deal that I think works and that I can agree to.
Should the Rangers need us to retain, we could do that as well for added value.
Something like Copp (50% retained) + Stastny (50% retained) for Lundkvist + 2nd + Barron/Gauthier

I think Id be ok with that. I think the Rangers fans would be a little irked by giving up Nils AND a 2nd, plus. Personally, as long as Copp is resigned I can live with it.

The model behind this is that Strome does not resign and prices himself out of staying here. Thus keeping Copp and Crouse. Both will be very reasonable to resign and wont hamper the team long term financially.

Not a bad start, but either Stastny needs to drop or the Rangers need to add as others have said.
