Teams can't retain salary for Expansion draft purposes, it's illegal and forbidden has to be straight salary. You can only retain on trades.

That is not getting Gallagher he just re-signed in Montreal with a full NMC so he is going no where. Besides your a couple of GOOD assets short on the deal.

that gallaghar trade is HORRIBLE for montreal. remove guentzal from crosby and malkin and he's a 10-15 goal scorer in an 82 game season AT BEST.
