im not sure how that value is in the jones trade but i think we would need either the 21 first or 22 first instead of the 23

You're way too high on Kutznetsov.

Trading that much of the future away for guys we won't even be able to keep is not the dream. Jones will be gone after the 1 year and Kuzy isn't a guy I'm giving up 3 young top assets for.

I think he would be boom-or-bust with us, and if he booms then the price won't look so bad imo. I get why people are cautious on paying too much for him tho

I'm just not that high on the players I'd give up for Kuz, especially considering we would get out from Byron's contract. I don't rate Guhle super highly, and don't think KK's potential is as high as Kuz's floor is

kuzy has been in decline for the past 2 seasons and is basically being forced out of town because his of his off ice problems and if they are the nose problems people already talk about then its trouble bringing him into the city that most of Canadas snow gets into the country through.

Not being privy to discussions with Jordan Harris, I don't know if he has given the Habs any reason to believe he is planning to play out his college eligibility and then become a UFA. If that is indeed the case, this deal -- even if Jones were to hit the open market (Habs could still bid) -- would still be favour the Habs.

Its giving up a 1st round pick 2 drafts away that I worry about. The Habs arent gonna get Jones and become a wild card team in the Alantic next year. They will be better but he doesnt elevate them enough in my mind.
