I never said the Goodrow contract was good? It’s obviously abysmal and at the same time the most realistic part of this ACGM. But Engvall is not good. He looks like a 3rd line guy maybe a quarter of the time, a capable 13th forward who can fill in for injuries a quarter of the time, and half the time he looks like he isn’t trying and doesn’t deserve an NHL contract. You can find better cheap depth guys in free agency, on waivers, or at worst for a 6th or 7th round pick. Moving a 3rd for Engvall is lunacy, and I don’t even consider him good depth due to his inconsistency. I’d much prefer a guy who gets hungry every time he gets a shot and gives you a couple good games than a guy who floats when he gets a chance. So yeah, I stand by my statement that I wouldn’t claim him off waivers. I can get 12 points in 42 games from dozens of other guys on minimum wage contracts, who might actually provide small amounts of value in other aspects of the game. Engvall is making 500k more than minimum wage and is overpaid lol

You know funny enough Boeser and Zibanejad both had the same stat lines this year.

I would think their value is fairly similar since Boeser is younger and RFA and pretty much was a 50ish point guy (baked in with injuries). That said Zibanejad is an elite top6 forward yet I think either club has no real reason to do this trade and I doubt NYR would want to trade away their veteran top6 center away
