Who Does Seattle Take

Created by: PhillyDip123
Team: 2021-22 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 6, 2021
Published: Jun. 6, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Column 1 is ineligible, column 2 is possible/probable, and column 3 is sure-fire protect.

I would prefer the leafs protect Kerfoot (partly because he’s rad, and partly because I want to see Liljegren in the NHL, and they might bring back Bogosian), but I have a feeling they protect Holl.

I can see them going for Alex Kerfoot. Yes, he is bad at face-offs, but he is decent on the wing. The reason why he played way better in Colorado is because, they used him right. He’s a good third liner, but only a winger. I’ve seen Toronto try and use him as a 3c, and even a 4c plenty of times, which doesn’t work, because some players can’t play there. If they played him on the wing, they would see a huge difference on his point production.

I'm saying this tongue in cheek. Leave Marner exposed, Seattle take him. Use that 11m in cap space to restructure the Leafs.

If they don't sign any players to leave exposed, they have to expose Kerfoot, Engval and Holl. I would take Kerfoot, Holl doesn't make the starting roster on a lot of NHL teams.
