So why does McDonagh waive for Vancouver? Vancouver probably doesn't want his long term cap either. If Ferland stays on LTIR his cap doesn't help/or hurt any teams cap.

That’s a deal I figured they would take helps the cap issues slightly but still gets them bottom 6 forwards that can play and maybe I’m wrong but gets the blues a player that they need or the style of game he brings that they need if that makes sense
