Oh that Sabres trade is BAAAAD.
Kerfoot is a negative player that is vastly overpaid while Marner is not equal to Jack in trade value...
If you took Reinhart out you still likely wouldn't have a deal.

Kerfoot isn’t overpaid lol. If he was overpaid why is Seattle plan to take him in the expansion draft? He wasn’t given a top 6 role. He places to be a shutdown centre which he wasn’t.

Not saying I agree with the trade I think the value is way in Toronto favour and Kevin Adams would be dumb to take the deal.

I actually think Seattle will workout a deal and take Hyman personally. Either that or Dermott. Seattle is being built on analytics with arguably the best team of analysts we've ever seen in the NHL. With Meghan Chayka high up in the organization they won't be making dumb decisions like Kerfoot.

Wasn’t John Chayka making “analytical” moves in the desert. If they were using analytics they wouldn’t take Hyman because he’s had 2 knee injuries and play on a line with Matthews and Marner.

Analytics is finding value in players that’s incorrectly utilized. For eg. Riley smith, William Karlson and Marchesault. Kerfoot is one of those players if you follow analytics. He’s a top 6F that was asked to play a shutdown role. When he was give a top 6 opportunity he had 6 points in 7 games and held a strong game score.

John Chayka and Meghan Chayka are two different people? Just because they're siblings doesn't mean they're the same person lol

As for Kerfoot, he doesn't drive the play and frequently gives up high danger chances in his own end. He's a liability on the ice and making far more than he should be. That's all from looking at analytics.

He is an offensive minded 3C who can't play any hard minutes at best. Not someone worth 3.5 million.

That Airzona team was built off Chayka’s model…

Secondly what analytics are you looking at. If you didn’t know most of his shifts starts in the d-zone. Again he was place in an incorrect situation hence why I brought up William Karlsson, Riley Smith and Marchesault. Their analytics were similar to Kerfoots as like Kerfoot was utilized incorrectly.

So you basing off of analytics your taking Hyman whose linemates are 100 point players and he averages a higher game score because of his linemates. Dermott makes sense but like Kerfoot doesn’t have a lot of playing time yet your objectively taking him.

Most of his shifts start in the OZone per Natural Stat Trick... lol
And they were built of John Chayka's model not Meghan's...
