Why would Flames do that? Skinner does absolutely nothing. At least Lucic has some physicality and can score every once in a while. Buffalo will be adding not Calgary

Skinner had two bad years with Buffalo. he will score again. likely put up 20 to 30 goals a year in Calgary at 5mil a year. Buffalo retains 4mil. I am a Habs fan should have trade him there for a 1st and 4 mil retained with Poehling.

Id rather Lucic at 5.2 for 2 years over Skinner at 5 for 7

just look at what Ottawa is doing. There going to start adding players now and be back in the playoff maybe this year! Buffalo has no chance of making the playoff period. tear it down and rebuild they have too.

Serious question, is seth jones actually good? Opinions seem to vary.

Admittedly, I’m a homer, but I can’t think of any way to put it besides he is very good. He hasn’t looked like the Norris-caliber D-man he was two years ago, but he is a bona-fide top pairing RD who can run a PP, and he’s arguably just now entering his prime. Advanced statistics have been down on him the past two years, but there isn’t a team in this league who wouldn’t want him on their team. Most every time I see people being hard on him, it’s simply trade negging.

That being said, this probably wouldn’t happen. Jones has made clear he wants to test FA, and an 8x8.5 deal is something CBJ would match or exceed, if his concern was simply money.

And if his concern is winning/culture well…no offense, but BUF wouldn’t be on my list.

Eichel 1 for 1 for Jones is one of the worst Eichel offers ever. Not to mention, zero chance Jones signs in Buffalo.

Reinhart deal is awful. Get better value at the TDL than 2 firsts and a massive cap dump.

Buffalo isn't retaining that much on Skinner. No cap issue, no reason to do that.

Just an unbelievably terrible set of idea.
